Your account

Signing in, the computers linked to your account, API keys, and where to manage them.

Cusp uses one account for the desktop app, the web app and the cloud features: sync, cloud sandboxes, crew, Cusp models and billing. You manage it on the web at Account (app.cusp.run/account).

Signing in

You can sign in with:

  • email and password;
  • a one-time code or link sent to your email;
  • GitHub or Apple;
  • a passkey, once you've added one under Account → Profile & security.

The desktop app signs you in through your browser, so your password never passes through the app. If you sign up with an email and password, you confirm the address from an email before your first sign-in.

Profile & security lists every place you're signed in, with the browser or app and when each session was last used. You can sign out of one session, or out of all the others at once. When you change your password, you can sign out every other session at the same time.

Computers

Each computer that syncs with your account appears under Account → Computers, with whether it's online. Disconnecting a computer stops it syncing straight away and revokes the Cusp model keys it was using.

The Free plan syncs two computers. Paid plans have no limit.

API keys

API keys let scripts and CI use the Cusp cloud API without your password. Create them under Account → API keys. You choose:

ScopeLets the key
readread sessions, usage and settings
syncsync sessions and link computers
gatewaycall Cusp models through the gateway
adminmanage keys, provider keys and organization settings

A key is shown once, when you create it. Store it in a secret manager. You can give a key an expiry date and revoke it at any time. For CI, cusp setup-token registers a device token instead.

Keys, computers and sign-ins are recorded in your organization's activity log (see Organizations).
